A Galley and Crew Mess makeover, re-designing layouts was required on a Nautor Swan 100 “L’Hippocampe”
The yacht, spent a extensive and thigh refit late fall, in STP Shipyard Palma -, and Galley and Mess renovation was on the job list. Crew, since handover from previous ownership, wanted a renovated department. Updated, brighter and more functional, with more working spaces, and a comfortable Crew mess, directly linked to Galley. From Shipyard original layout,
a furniture alteration on existing cabinetry, mainly the sink’s cabinet and stairs box, with removing of remaining part of original oilskins cabinet,(replaced by a fridge by past Crew), adding larger new Corian counters, sliding doors and continuous curved splash wall make possible results shared on this post. Mess was improved with new “L” shaped sofa, reproducing original Nautor’s style, and adding a spacious cabinet/table’s stand for a good sized Crew’s table, linked to Galley counters, useful as added workspace for Galley Team in busy Guests trips.
